CARAVAN Ring
Artisan Silver Ring with Natural Gemstone and Historical Afghan Bead Imprint
A form shaped by an object that had already travelled far from its origin.
Several years ago, in a small village in Thailand, we came across a group of old Afghan beads at a local flea market.
We do not know when they arrived there or what route brought them from Afghanistan to this remote corner of Southeast Asia. By the time we found them, their journey had already become impossible to trace.
Mikhail took an impression from one of the beads and transformed its irregular, slightly deformed form into a repeating element of CARAVAN.
Rather than reproducing the original object, the ring carries its shape into a new composition.
At the center is a natural, individually cut gemstone. Its proportions determine the structure built around it — the raised setting, the arrangement of the bead-derived elements and the way the entire composition sits on the hand.
The first CARAVAN was created around a deep blue natural sapphire. That exact ring has since been sold and will not be reproduced.
CARAVAN now continues as part of our Unique Stone Edition. Each new piece is built individually around the gemstone chosen for it, allowing the same design to change subtly with every stone.
An object whose story began with something found far from where it once belonged — and continues in another form.

UNIQUE STONE EDITION
The CARAVAN ring with the blue sapphire shown in the main photographs is the first piece created in this design and has already been sold. It represents the design, but that exact ring will not be reproduced.
Choose from the natural gemstones currently available. Each has been individually cut and selected for its color, inclusions, proportions and internal character.
Because every stone is different, Mikhail adapts the central setting and surrounding composition by hand around the one you choose. The recognizable structure of CARAVAN remains, while the stone determines the final proportions and subtle details of each piece.
The visual previews show approximately how CARAVAN may look with the available stones. Photographs of the actual gemstones are provided so you can examine their natural color and inclusions. Additional photographs or video of a particular stone are available upon request.
No two CARAVAN rings are alike.
