ADARA Ring

Artisan Silver Ring with Natural Stone and Ancient Seal Imprint

A form assembled from fragments.

The ring combines elements from different origins, brought together into a single structure.

On the side — an imprint taken from the bronze handle of an Ottoman seal, dated to the 18th century and found at a Turkish flea market. Its surface carries the irregular depth of a worn object, preserving traces of use rather than decoration.

At the center — a natural stone from a mountain village in Ladakh, hand-cut by a local craftsman.

In the light, it reveals layered tones, dense and shifting, as if compressed over time.

We found only five of these stones. One was destroyed while studying its structure. Four remained.

They belong to the same small group, sharing similar color and character, but because each was cut by hand, their shape, proportions and internal structure vary slightly.

Mikhail builds each ADARA individually around the stone used for it, adapting the setting by hand while preserving the original composition of the ring.

The frame is defined by a rope border, a motif known since antiquity. It marks a boundary — between inner and outer, surface and depth.

The surface is oxidized using volcanic sulfur collected during our journey in Indonesia.

LIMITED STONE EDITION

ADARA is currently available with only four of the original hand-cut stones found in Ladakh.

Once these stones are gone, this version of ADARA will no longer be available. The design may return in the future if we happen to find another small group of stones that belongs naturally within its composition — but it will never be exactly the same edition.

Each ring is made individually around its stone, allowing its slight irregularities and proportions to become part of the finished piece.
