ABOUT THE RING

The MASK ring features a sculpted bronze mask set into a solid silver base — a bold contrast that blends ancient symbolism with rugged, raw textures. Inspired by ritual artifacts and timeless human traditions, this piece was created for those drawn to the deeper meaning behind objects.

The prototype for the mask was found at a flea market on the island of Java, Indonesia. It reflects our fascination with human history: masks have been used for over 40,000 years in ceremonies, as spiritual protection, and to channel divine presence. Their universality across cultures speaks to something deeply human — mystery, identity, and transformation.

This version features a bronze element embedded into sterling silver — a technique that requires careful soldering and hand-finishing. Working with two contrasting metals adds complexity and uniqueness to the process, making each ring truly one of a kind.

Each ring is oxidized using volcanic sulfur we collected ourselves during a journey to the Ijen volcano. This deep patina enhances the texture and gives the metal its dark, charred appearance.
