Artisan Silver Ring with Natural Gemstone, Gold Details and Historical Ornament

A fragment of the past, rebuilt around a stone that exists only once.

ROYAL draws from the richness of historical Georgian jewelry — compositions where ornament, colored stones and contrasting metals were brought together densely, turning a ring into a small architectural object.

At its center is a natural, individually cut gemstone. Its irregular shape determines the proportions of everything around it: the sculptural gold-plated setting, the smaller accent stones and the way the composition rises from the hand.

The sides carry another fragment of history.

Their ornament was created from an old Hamsa found at a flea market in Turkey. Mikhail took impressions from different parts of its central pattern and used them to form the shoulders of the ring.

The two sides deliberately do not match.

Different motifs survive on each — fragments of the same original object, separated and brought together again within a new form.

Against the dark volcanic oxidation, traces of gold catch the light around the stone and relief. The contrast recalls historical jewelry whose gilded surfaces have changed through wear, leaving gold concentrated around details and recesses.

Each ROYAL is built individually around the gemstone chosen for it. Its proportions, inclusions, color and irregularities are not corrected or hidden — they become part of the architecture of the ring.

A contemporary artifact assembled from several histories rather than a reproduction of any one of them.

The surface is oxidized using volcanic sulfur collected during our journey in Indonesia.

UNIQUE STONE EDITION

The ROYAL rings shown in the main photographs are previously created and sold pieces. They represent the design, but the exact rings will not be reproduced.

Choose from the natural gemstones currently available. Each has been individually cut and selected for its color, inclusions, proportions and internal character.

Because every stone is different, Mikhail adapts the central setting by hand around the one you choose. The recognizable architecture of ROYAL remains, while the stone determines the final proportions and subtle details of each piece.

The visual previews show approximately how ROYAL may look with the available stones. Photographs of the actual gemstones are provided so you can examine their natural color and inclusions. Additional photographs or video of a particular stone are available upon request.
